North Harrow Waltonians Angling Society
Welcome to web site of the North Harrow Waltonians Angling Society, we are based in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire.
Members of the NHWAS River Section members can fish our stretch of the River Colne that runs from Moneyhill to where it joins the Grand Union Canal at Maple Cross. This stretch offers some good fishing for Chub and Barbel, and most other species. Night fishing is permitted. In addition to our newly created facility “Pete’s Pond”. More information of Pete’s Pond can be seen here.
Members also have access to fish the Grand Union Canal, controlled by Blenheim Angling Society, and a number of waters through our affiliate membership of the Thames Valley Angling Association.

The GUC controlled by Blenheim Angling Society is from Batchworth (Lock 81) to Denham Deep (Lock 87) which can offer some good catches.The canal may be fished at night and during the closed season. More details.

Please note that NHWAS controls the fishing rights along the stretch of the River Colne as illustrated, we take poaching very seriously and the water is bailiffed day and night, we work closely with other local angling organisations, EA enforcement officers and the police to stop illegal fishing and to protect our fishery and will take action against anyone caught fishing without membership.
We operate a waiting list for Full Membership, only Full members are able to fish Springwell Lake.
